There are times that I like to wear leggings. Here are my top 2 reasons:
1) Their comfortable
2) Depending on my mood and the occasion- I can wear them with flats; boots; flip flops; sneakers; heels; the list goes on.
Leggings have been around for a very long time. They go way back to 14th century Scotland. Can you believe they were only intended for men to wear? It wasn't until the 19th century that they were globally recognized and women began to adopt them as well. In the 1960s, the term "fashion leggings" originated thanks to Joseph Shivers at DuPont who created the very first Lycra leggings in 1959. Over the years they evolved into both high fashion and sportswear that we still appreciate wearing to this day due to its versatility.
I like leggings that come in a set. I tend to seek these styles out first because I know the top will be a perfect match. I found this set and the open toe mules from DreamGirl's Kloset, a local boutique based in Atlanta. I really enjoy shopping there because they sell a variety of trendy and affordable clothing, shoes, and accessories. Another haven for the fashionista on a budget!
How did I manage to pull my super-dense, thick, naturally curly hair into a ponytail AND wear a hat? The CurlCap! This cap is satin lined underneath and has a scrunchie to adjust the fit to your liking. A complete win!
This outfit is casual yet chic at the same time. A perfect ensemble if you don't feel like getting overly dressed up but still want to look stylish.
